How does HUK source its wood?
HUK sources its wood sustainably from “dead and down” trees that have been salvaged from the forests and oceans of BC. HUK does not harvest any living trees to create its pieces.
How can I turn my HUK piece into a table or desk?
HUK can supply custom steel bases for your slab or burl. Contact us for specs and quotes. Materials like wood and concrete may be available upon request. Steel wall brackets can be supplied for hanging pieces like headboards or decor items.
Are HUK pieces dry?
All of HUK’s pieces have been air dried for several years to preserve their natural beauty and integrity.
What species of wood does HUK have available for sale?
HUK deals primarily in local BC maple, douglas fir, western red cedar and cypress.
Do you offer shipping?
HUK’s prices do not include shipping. Purchasers are responsible for picking up their pieces from our premises in Nanaimo BC, or arranging for shipping to their final destinations.
